Yeeeah Boiiii

48 more to go!

My first free bottle of wine from work

I think it's the private reserve Chardonnay, tough to tell though as
there's no label.

Excerpts from the St. Helena Police Log

2110 - Report of two trucks spinning donuts on Quail Court. Officers started to check the area, but were diverted for another call.

As if we needed any more indication that this country's law enforcement officials possess hopelessly jumbled priorities...

Work

It happened. Today. I can now determine precisely how much sugar is in samples of wine by sheer power of will.

Excerpts from the St. Helena Police Log

It's that ill-defined time of the week again...

1047 -- A Sylvaner home was toilet papered overnight.

Yup. Toilet paper.

Food and such

I made stir-fry tonight. More accurately, slightly undercooked veggies and slightly overcooked meat ft. kikkoman stir-fry mix and chili sauce. It was passable and, since about three pounds of the stuff currently resides in the fridge, will sustain me for some time to come. Also, I've got sammich materials, which is quite exciting.
I've noticed that this town has a distinct rhythm about it, it belongs to the locals from Monday through Thursday, the tourists (or Marin County assholes as my new best friend [Jim the cranky old gentleman, of local bar fame, who's lived here for over sixty years, so he tells me] calls them) from Friday through Sunday. They putter about, unwilling spawn in tow (this is not the area that would be fun for anybody uinder twenty-one, yet another reason to love the place) spending money. Which supports the locals for the other four days of the week, for which I am grateful. They do strut about as though they own the place, then again, I suppose they do.

Yay.

I have the internet now. Finally all of that insufferable "reading" and "meeting people" can be put to rest. I was getting worried for my health.
